A lot of people enjoy watching TV. To enjoy the movie experience at its best, you prefer to make every arrangement in order to have a complete atmosphere of a theatre. You find the maximum comfortable seat for yourself and bring something to eat and drink, like pop corn and some soft drink. Watching movies on DVDs will drive you somehow crazy to get the best resolution and reception on your TV screen. This is where the proper selection of TV comes in. Any kind of TV will project picture on its screen, but the need is for the best picture quality. We need to know the best sources of optimum display.

There are three types of display devices for the finest picture quality which include LCD, Plasma, and Projectors. These three are available in HD widescreen option. Any movie freak would like the 16:9 widescreen ratios that hold the cinematic grandeur of the picture. The DVDs are now available in HD quality i.e. 1080 resolution. Sometimes the media disc looses some picture quality features. The manufacturers of the DVD players are now manufacturing the players which can overcome this fault of the DVD disc. So, when you are having an appropriate media available there is a strong need of a proper display medium and that is TV.

The options we have discussed earlier are LCD, Plasma, and Projectors. Every option has its own advantages and disadvantages which you should consider before buying it.

LCD

LCD televisions made their place in the marketplace faster than every other TV technology. They have extraordinarily great characteristics and extremely eye-catching outlook.

Advantages:

1: LCD televisions are very thin 2: These can be mounted on the wall 3: Crystal Clear reception 4: Less power consumption 5: Better visibility even with the lights on 6: Longer shelf life

Disadvantages:

1: LCD televisions are very expensive 2: Still some enhancements are being made, and you will see a new model with new features shortly after you have purchased a LCD TV. 3: Less than 40 inch screen models usually have 1 mega pixel resolution.

Plasma

This technology took the market by storm as they were new after CRT televisions. The extraordinary screen size just mesmerizes the viewer. It had its golden days prior to arrival of LCD televisions.

Benefits

1: Plasma TVs are not anything to scuff at. 2: These are amazing if you want to watch movies in the dark. 3: These are not as expensive as LCD TVs. 4: If you like massive screen sizes, Plasma are the best to get at logical price. 5: TRUE BLACK trait is available in Plasma which makes the picture quality invincible.

Disadvantages

1: Plasma has the potency for causing image burn in. 2: Doesn’t project better picture quality in lights. 3: Produces Glare.

Projectors

Projectors are thoroughly dissimilar from those square TVs. They throw the image on to a wall or the display. A grand deal of improvement is being made in this technology as well. If you have the place and all the gears required for this setup, projector is going to present you the exact theatre experience as soon as you watch films on it.
